I've never been diagnosed, but it's a fair guess that I'm on the spectrum. I've learned typical social dynamics by rote, and I'm quite good at them nowadays. But, I relate to people who haven't learned them yet.

Feeling shy, and awkward at social dynamics, can mean having no social life -- and no sex life. Many guys on the spectrum are super-horny yet they haven't had sex for years -- or ever. They crave sex, but don't know where to begin.

Legal brothels or paid escorts seem to solve some of these problems but they nevertheless also involve social issues, in a whole new context, so yet again, the social issues are a mystery ... What does one say? What does one do? What would be offensive? What would be OK? What is expected?

If you're a high-functioning guy on the spectrum, you can probably write complex code and/or solve complex scientific or engineering problems, yet the interpersonal aspects of your work situation is the least-favorite part for you. When you don't have to deal with people, your stress level is way lower.

Your teenage years brought the realization that you're different from typical people, who were numerically the majority, even if objectively they were inferior to you, intellectually. Social dynamics with typical people became incomprehensible to you, because you could understand neither illogical behavior nor malice. Soon, social situations became so intimidating that you felt socially awkward. You became shy and self-conscious as a consequence. On the rare occasions when you managed to be in a conversation with someone you liked, oftentimes you didn't know what to say, and you would clam up and leave, perhaps abruptly.
